Consultation:
Before the treatment, you will have a consultation with a skincare expert who will examine your skin to create a treatment plan and decide if it is the best treatment for you.
It is important to avoid fillers and Botox for 3 weeks before Dermapen 4 microneedling.
Preparation:
Before the treatment, the skin will be prepped and sterilised. No anaesthetic is used as the treatment is minimally invasive with little discomfort.
Then, the customised serum will be applied to the treatment area.
Treatment:
Dermapen is applied to the treatment area. Needle depth varies depending on your skin concerns and how comfortable you are. For different areas, we may recommend different depths.
Post-treatment:
After the treatment, a cooling and hydrating mask will be applied to the skin.
In our salon, we also applied an LED mask (Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.) because microneedling and light therapy work synergistically together. The calming effects of LED are also an excellent way to complete the procedure, as the client can enjoy 10 minutes of relaxing downtime.
Aftercare product will be applied to the skin, including an SPF.
Self-care procedure after the treatment:
It is important not to touch, rub, or pick your skin after the treatment. You must not use cleaning or perfumed products for 12-24 hours post-treatment, and you must not use retinols, acids, or exfoliators for at least 5 days.
